Super circus
Hanoi Central Circus
Hanoi Central Circus started in 1956 and is the oldest circus in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is next to Thiền Quang Lake. Visitors can enjoy clowns and acrobats as well as animal performances. There are also amazing light displays and games for kids. Performances are every Tuesday and Sunday evening. If you want to have fun with your kids, this is the place to go.
Phare, the Cambodian Circus
Phare circus doesn't use animals. Instead, fifteen young Cambodian artists tell stories from their culture, but not in words. Performances are a mixture of theatre, music, dance, juggling, mime and acrobatics.
What makes this circus special is the Ponleu Selpak training programme. In this programme, talented youngsters from poor families can take lessons in performing arts before going on to perform at the circus. This helps them get jobs in the arts. It also helps keep Cambodian culture alive.
