Spectacular Mỹ Sơn

The ancient site of My Son is located in Central Vietnam, near the port city of Đà Nẵng. A collection of Hindu temples dating from the 4^th century, and it is considered by experts to be the equal of either Borobudur of Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, Bagan of Myanmar or Ayutthaya of Thailand. King Bhadravarman, who ruled between 380 and 413, began it all and had it built in honour of the god Shiva.

Two centuries later, a fire destroyed the original temple, but in 700, King Prakasadharma had it rebuilt. The following five centuries saw more and more temples added, and the site became the spiritual centre of the Champa civilisation. Then, after the kingdom fell, people forgot about it until its rediscovery in 1898.

Mỹ Sơn has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, and thousands of visitors, both tourists and followers of Hinduism, make the trip there every year. In the middle of a green rainforest, an hour's drive from the town of Hội An, it's a site with numerous buildings from many different periods of its long history, so hiring a guide makes the tour much more rewarding.

Something growing more and more popular every day is the sunrise tour, where visitors arrive at the site just before the sun comes up. The morning rays light up the red brick that most of the buildings are made of and the cool air makes for an extremely pleasant experience. Not only that, but the site is often very quiet then, allowing the peaceful enjoyment of these spectacular ancient structures.

Không chỉ vậy, địa điểm này khi đó thường rất yên tĩnh, cho phép bạn tận hưởng một cách yên bình những công trình kiến trúc cổ ngoạn mục này.

How to protect our Ocean

A ◻ Another way to protect our oceans is to stop throwing away plastic. The oceans are filling up with plastic and this is not only ugly but also damaging to sea animals. By stopping this, we make sure the ocean does not become one big rubbish bin.
