Hi everyone, this is your tech teacher. Welcome back to my podcast. Did you know that there are over 80,000 educational apps in the App Store right now? How would you know which one to choose? Well, as a teacher, one of my favorite apps for the classroom is called Popplet, that’s P-O-P-P-L-E-T. Isn’t that a cute name? It’s the only mind-mapping app that your students will ever need. This amazing app allows young learners to research, to record information, to come up with ideas, and to organize their learning experience. Students can arrange their thoughts in a form of a mind map, using texts, pictures or even drawings And then upload their mind maps online for their classmates and teachers to see. Another app that I found to be extremely helpful for independent learning is call Khan Academy. Students that are struggling at school can access thousands of free resources that help them learn at their own pace at home. The apps has school subjects that range from math, to art, to computer programming, to life skills and more. What do you think about using apps in the classroom?
