MC: So, Josh, what is your favourite festival in your country?
Josh: Well, it’s the Winter Festival in my city. It takes place in February every year. It’s the biggest festival in my country too.
MC: Sounds interesting! What do people do in this festival?
Josh: Oh, there are a lot of things to do! We can watch a long, big parade on the streets, and it’s wonderful! There’s this huge snowman in front of the parade, along with lots of lightbulbs and winter decorations. We call it Bonhomme Carnaval. My family enjoys watching this parade every year. It’s great for a family vacation.
MC: Great! And what is your favourite thing about this festival?
Josh: For me, it’s the food! During the Winter Festival, there are special menus in the restaurants. We often have dinner at a local restaurant throughout the festival. The desserts are delicious, they are my favourite.
MC: Do you participate in any activity?
Josh: Yes I do. People often hold outdoor sports events inside and even outside the city. There are a lot of championships and races, such as skiing, ice canoe, ice swimming… I sometimes take part in the local snowboarding race with my cousins, while my brother enjoys some ice hockey games.
