Laura’s Adventure to Amazon

Monday

We landed in the capital city, Quito, in Ecuador this morning. It was hot. We got on the coach to the town of Coca by the River Napo. There, we met the other students. They were from all over the world. 

Tuesday

In the morning, it rained when we woke up, but it stopped shortly after breakfast! We went down to the river and got into our kayaks. There were tall trees all around us. Squirrels, monkeys and parrots watched us from the trees. It was amazing!

Wednesday

It was foggy this morning, but we went ahead with our day as planned. We stopped at a village. The people there offered us gifts and told us stories around a campfire. 

Thursday

Today, we got up at 5:00 a.m. It was very windy and cool. We packed our bags and left the village at 7:00 a.m. Right now, we are flying back home.
