                                                  Emmeline Pankhurst (1858-1928)

Emmeline Pankhurst is famous for her hard work in the fight to help get British women the right to vote. Back in the 1880s, the British government wouldn't let women (1) ____________. So, many women started to fight for the (2) ____________

to vote, including Pankhurst. Some political organizations wouldn't let her join because she was a woman, so she created her own.
