BUYING NOTHING 

Buy Nothing Day is a special day to relax without spending any money at all. Just think how beneficial this would be both for you and, yes, the planet! Every time you don't buy anything, you're doing your part to lessen the bad effect you have on the natural environment.

So, what can you do on Buy Nothing Day?

▶Make a list of what you would normally buy in a day. Then cross off everything that is not absolutely necessary.

▶ Plan a budget and stick to it.

Don't spend your pocket money on things you don't need.

▶ Use the things you already have at home to make something you would normally buy - maybe a loaf of bread or a birthday gift.

These suggestions may make you realise how much of your shopping is really just shopping because you can. Change your spending habits and change the world!
